The South Region of the Los Angeles International Church of Christ joined together in true commitment to the gospel and really worked hard to give to missions this year. After months of garage sales, car washes, savings and other fundraisers, the church collected its 2004 Special Missions Contribution on June 27th. Showing great eagerness to support the mission work in Mexico and Central America, the church well surpassed its $204,000 goal! Funds will be used to support various mission-related programs, including new church plantings in Mexico, ministry leadership training, shepherding and teaching in Mexico and Central America. Many thanks go out to the disciples of the South who really sacrificed!

This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God's people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, men will praise God...for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else. And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you.
