Susan Hauck of the L.A. Church's North Region ministry baptized both of her teenage daughters on the same night. First, she baptized Alex, who is a senior in high school. Then Susan and Alex baptized Ariel, a sophomore. More than one hundred people came together to celebrate the encouraging time.

The proud mom said it was exciting to see her daughters make their own decisions to be disciples of Jesus Christ at such a young age. She had been hoping and praying for Alex and Ariel to become Christians since they were toddlers. She trained them in godliness and taught them the truth. As they matured, she granted them spiritual freedom and placed her trust in God's promise from Proverbs 22:6 -- "Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it."

"This makes me feel very blessed, loved and taken care of by God," she said. It encourages her heart each time she sees her daughters read their Bibles for quiet times or hears about them sharing their faith with others, she added.

Susan said she is grateful for teen ministry leaders Kent and Heather McKean for unifying the youth group and for everyone in the church who has loved and taught her daughters.
