Anger Management Support Group
Ongoing Support Group
Beginning September 21, 2008

Group every Sunday at 8 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.
Location: Veteran’s Auditorium

Open to all adults seeking group anger management.

The goal of anger management therapy is not to eliminate anger, but to use it as a signal that there is a problem or issue that needs to be addressed. Individuals in the group are taught how to slow down their arousal when angered, so that it can be processed and acted on in a proper way without the negative consequences when it is uncontrolled.

Cost: $25 per individual, per session or $200 for 8 weeks.

This Fall, beginning Sunday, September, 2008 from 4:00 p.m.-6:30 p.m.

Joe Whitcomb will be facilitating an interactive small group of 24 men and women on Sunday afternoon's from 2-4:30 p.m. on a 7-week study of Dr. Gary Smalley's book, The DNA of Relationships. This 7-week seminar will provide you with powerful insights into your own relational dance, how to create “safe-haven” relationships, and move you to discover how you are designed by God for satisfying relationships.

What you will discover and how this seminar will lead you:

    • From alienation to emotional connection.
    • From vigilant defense and self-protection, to openness, personal responsibility and risk taking.
    • From a passive helplessness in the face of the inexorable dance of the relationship, to a sense of being able to actively create that dance.
    • From desperate blaming of the other, to a sense of how each partner makes it difficult for the other to be responsive and caring.
    • From a focus on the other's flaws, to the discovery of one's own fears and longings
    • But most of all, from isolation to connectedness with God and others
