Shawn has inspired thousands with his preaching and life example over the past two decades. He was baptized into Christ as a college student at the University of Kansas in January of 1991. Just over a year later, he moved from the KU campus ministry to Moscow in May of 1992. He was part of the church planting to St. Petersburg, in July of that same year. Less than a year later, he was sent to lead the church in Kiev, Ukraine in May of 1993. Shawn moved back to Moscow in November of 1995 and served the church there, as well as in the role of Vice President of HOPE Worldwide from 1996 to 2006. Currently, he is the lead evangelist of the Kiev Church and has responsibilities for evangelist training throughout churches in Europe. Shawn and his wife Lena were married in May of 1994 (Lena was converted in Moscow in 1991). They have two children, Andrew (11) and Diana (6). |
